Das Haus beherbergt die Sammlung of “colour, craftsmanship and design” des ehemaligen, sehr exzentrischen Besitzers Charles Wade. Er war ein leidenschaftlicher Sammler sozusagen von allem.

Das Haus ist bis zum Rand vollgestopft mit Alltagsgegenständen und Kuriositäten. In seinen letzten Jahren mußte Wade in einem Schuppen nebenan wohnen, weil im Haus selbst kein Platz mehr war. Der Schuppen hätte bestimmt dasselbe Schicksal erlitten, wenn Wade nur lange genug gelebt hätte.

Allein wegen dieser interessanten Sammlung sticht Snowhill Manor aus der großen Anzahl englischer Herrenhäuser heraus.
